Control of your own mind & habits
Our vision of good habits vs. addiction is based on control and self-reliance. Our method is 3-fold: 1) the treatment reduces your need, 2) we help reduce withdrawal symptoms and other forms of complaints, 3) we help you relax throughout the process. In doing so, we remove the barriers that prevent you from being your best, healthiest version of yourself.

To help you get rid of addiction, our methods focus on:

- Understanding the feelings and thoughts surrounding your addiction
- Get more control over your behavior
- Going from small to big successes
- Redirecting your life
Addiction is a broad concept. It can be about smoking, but also about food, gambling, sex, alcohol, drugs, work, telephone and social media, etc.
When do you need help?
Addiction, a pleasant life and seeking distraction from stress or problems are close together. When is something a conscious choice, and when does it start holding you back? That depends on the life you want to live. Would you rather do or achieve something else? Does your habit stop you from living life to the fullest and achieving your goals? Then help can be helpful.
Addiction provides something in the short term: relief, relaxation or anaesthesia. The question is whether that outweighs what gives you real fulfillment in the long run. As humans, we need meaningful activities (work, hobbies), relationships and meaning (or spirituality). By looking at this, you regain control and create space to change your habits
Addiction in Chinese Medicine
In Chinese medicine, addiction is not only seen as a physical habit, but also as a mental disorder. The Shen, also described as our inner peace, clarity, and presence, can be out of balance due to long-term stress, emotional strain, or exhaustion. This causes unrest, emptiness or a continuous urge for external stimuli more quickly.
When the mind is not anchored enough, we unconsciously look for something that provides temporary guidance or anesthesia. The treatment therefore does not focus on suppressing, but on restoring inner stability. By supporting the body and calming the mind, there is more clarity, self-direction and space to make other choices.
In this way, recovery becomes not just a matter of perseverance, but of slowly returning to inner peace and trust.

Addiction and stress
For many people, addiction is a way of dealing with too much stress. The idea of “relaxing” is good, just the way you can often be healthier. Part of the treatment is therefore to look together at the amount of stress in your life and how much rest is in return.
Stress is normal when it is temporary, not too intense and recovers after a short rest. Intense stress due to a move, the death of a loved one, loss of work or income, or the end of a relationship is also normal. Larger events take longer to process, but at some point, that phase can last too long.
A lot of everyday stress can pile up to such a level that someone is always “on”. This state of survival of the nervous system requires a lot of energy. A lot of tension and low energy are a bad combination when it comes to developing good habits. Breaking this pattern is an important step towards health and recovery.
Acupuncture for quitting smoking
Acupuncture is effective in reducing cigarette cravings. To do this, we use the NADA protocol, a form of ear acupuncture. In addition, we look at what you need to relax and become better balanced, in addition to quitting smoking. Because when your body and mind are in balance, it increases the chances of success.
Other addictions where we offer support
In addition to quitting smoking, we also have experience with other forms of addictions. For example, consider:
- ADHD
- Alcohol consumption
- Blow
- Compulsive acts
- Eating (too much or too little)
- Eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia
- Gaming and excessive screen use
Relationship with high sensitivity
What happens to many people is that a lot is felt under stress but little is processed. The ability to notice an incentive, understand what it does to you, and then act accordingly helps to stand your ground in a world of incentives. When this process works better, the need for distractions, such as addictive behavior, often decreases.
Some of the people have this to do with high sensitivity, also known as hypersensitivity. This is not an addiction in itself, but it regularly plays a role among people with an addiction. In addition to restoring balance and rest, we help you process stimuli in a healthy way.

Addiction and burnout
Feeling too little, processing too little and therefore not being able to make adjustments where necessary has many adverse consequences. Always being “on”, not being able to say no and taking on too much weight are examples of this. This explains why many people end up in a burnout. In such a situation, addictions and unhealthy habits can increase, to the point where it doesn't go any further.
Here, too, the treatment helps you relax, recharge and feel again, so that you can focus on your life again.
Addiction after trauma
After an intense event, “feeling” can be difficult. In order to survive, the mind stops the feelings so that you can go on and get back to life. The advantage of this is that you stand your ground, you survive. The disadvantage is that not only difficult feelings, but also other stimuli, are not sufficiently processed.
As a result, tension builds up and the need for release or relaxation increases. That's where addictive or narcotic behavior can then occur, to calm down or to feel something else as a distraction.
With the treatment, we help you relax first, so that you gradually get back in touch with your emotional world.
The combination of deep, noticeable rest and feeling dosed makes acupuncture a valuable support in this regard.
When breaking an addiction, the body has a lot to process, both physically and mentally. With herbal therapy, we look at what your body needs to support this process. Not only the urge plays a role, but also anxiety, tension, fatigue or an empty feeling that can arise.
Coaching for addiction
Mindfulness can help you learn to feel again and get a better grip on your habits and yourself. During the intake, there is room to look together at what is going on mentally and emotionally about your addiction and how you can deal with it differently. You will receive a breathing exercise and together we will formulate concrete steps to support you towards your goal.
In consultation, it is also possible to come exclusively for coaching. Ask us about the options. We'd love to help you.
Herbal therapy for addiction
From Chinese medicine, herbs help restore balance. They help calm the nervous system, strengthen the body's ability to recover and support focus and resilience. This makes it easier to deal with moments of longing or tension.
The herbal formula is tailored to your personal pattern and can be adjusted throughout the process. This way, your capacity grows with the process and, step by step, more stability and trust in yourself are created.
Allen Carr method
This video explains in an understandable way how the Easyway method works and how you can approach the psychological side of addiction without relying solely on willpower.
Tips for changing habits
To relax, reduce nervousness and get a better grip on your situation, these tips can help:
- Extend the exhalation: inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 6—8 seconds to quickly attenuate anxiety.
- Breathe low: lower the breath to the stomach for more rest and stability.
- Find warmth: hot water or tea or hot food helps the body relax and stay strong.
- Move gently: short walks or gentle stretching help relieve tension.
- Stimulus down: Reduce caffeine, screen time, and rush at times of tension.
